History

Yayasan Pendidikan Bakrie (YPB) actively participates in educating the nation's life and improving the welfare of the Indonesian people; in July 2009, the status of Bakrie School of Management (BSM) changed to Universitas Bakrie (U-Bakrie) based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 102/ D/0/2009. Universitas Bakrie has been accredited with a "B" grade based on decree number 2672/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/PT/XI/2016 from BAN-PT (National Accreditation Board for Higher Education) and has a vision of becoming a leading university that owns network and relationships with the industrial world through the application of the Experiential Learning method. Universitas Bakrie students will have the opportunity to learn and gain experience in the business field through Real Cases and Practices in Real Business Environment. Universitas Bakrie not only appointed with reliable lecturers who have competence in their respective fields but they are also strengthened by the CEOs of the Bakrie Business Group and the most advanced business players through the following activities:

• Learning through business simulations in the classroom and the application of technology in various fields
• Learning through a practicum in laboratories, broadcasting studios, and business incubators
• Learning through case studies in various industries and businesses/startups
• Learning through internships or direct involvement in several projects with various industries and academia (research)
• Learning from guest lecturers (CEO of the Bakrie Business Group or business/industry players)
